TVCenter 6 is a brand new development of the TVCenter software. Goal for our development and marketing team was to improve the workflow for a better customer experience, reduce system requirements and make TVCenter react much faster. TVCenter 6 can run on Netbooks without any performance penalties.
Install and configuration steps have been improved for a much faster and saver TV tuner configuration.
To lower the system requirements, recording functionality has been completeley restructured. TVCenter 6 captures TV shows in "native" format, without involving transcoding. In case of DVB sources transport streams are captured. These streams can be played back from the capture gallery where you can select subtitles or audio streams, similar to TV preview. A separate radio application is available for FM or DVB radio.
A transcoding engine allows to create the desired target format like DivX or iPod formats.
