Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) Portal V21 Update 2 is designed to be an application that allows a programmer to design PLC programs, HMI displays, and motion/motor control systems, all from a single software.
The TIA Portal V21 brings a number of new features to improve the engineering of controllers, HMIs and drives. The new features include the new Simatic SD format for file-based export, the NextGen WinCC Unified Screen Editor and the innovative SINAMICS S220 drive system, also the new download options from Startdrive and the T-CPU with multicore support. Dependency between project languages and settings for multilingualism of the CPU removedIf you change the editing language and reference language in your project, this will no longer affect the configuration of multilingualism in the properties of the CPU.
