In this course you will learn the microsimulation technique using the SUMO software (Simulation of Urban Mobility.My name is Michel, I am a final year student studying Transport and Logistics Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, and also the Latin American Traffic Microsimulation Champion in 2022.I have experience working in the city hall of Joinville, which is the city in the world that has used SUMO the most to evaluate alternatives in relation to urban planning.And SUMO can be quite intimidating at first. He has a strong connection with computers. In this sense, the course provides all the necessary basis for you to have a good relationship with the software, and subsequently make good modeling decisions.But I would say that the biggest difficulty lies in the scientific bases.
