Some of the interesting things we have seen and done while doing DAX and Power BI work in the field over the years

What you'll learn:
Client experiences dealing with slowly changing dimensions
Client experiences dealing with Power BI performance issues and a checklist we go through
Client experiences dealing with data outlier / anomaly detection
Client experiences dealing with the very poor Power BI DAX query editor
A delighted client experience who comes to understand the benefits of Cohort Analysis
Client experiences associated with locking down data model elements
20 difference client problems / scenarios dealing with all sorts of DAX and Power BI aspects

Requirements
Some knowledge of DAX and Power BI would be helpful

Description
When you do Power BI and DAX work long enough in the field, you come across some interesting attitudes, projects and requirements. This course is an attempt to showcase some of those interesting occurrences and scenarios. Some of them you have, no doubt, encountered yourself. Some you many not. We hope that you find all of these educational and helpful in your day-to-day work with Power BI, whether you are a Power BI / DAX developer for a single company or whether you are a consultant that changes projects every six months to a year.

This course is typical of a lot of our courses where it will probably never really be done. We are always encountering new scenarios and situations that you might find interesting or instructional.

As a few examples, do you know we actually had a client that didn't think Power BI / DAX could handle slowly changing dimensions? We cover that. We had a client that got pretty irate that you couldn't export more than 30K rows out of a Power BI visual. We cover that. We had a client that once we showed them how Power BI could detect outliers in their data and possibly explain why the outlier occurred, they thought we were the kings of Power BI. Nice of course but we're really not even close. These are just a few of the scenarios we cover in this course.
