In his first game with Boston University, the 17-year-old Eichel picked up five assists as his Boston University Terriers thumped St. Thomas (New Brunswick) 12-1. The game was an exhibition tilt between the Canadian and U.S. University programs. Not to be outdone, Erie Otters centre Connor McDavid scored two goals and two assists in his teams 7-3 victory over the Sarnia Sting. The Lightning regained the lead on Purcells second of the night as he managed to dig the puck out through traffic in the crease and then shoot it in off the post.
