The National Instruments team is pleased to announce the availability of NI R Series Multifunction RIO 19.1 is an NI instrument driver that supports the PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module and Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Device.  This driver provides the files you will need to program this hardware in LabVIEW using the LabVIEW FPGA Module. The driver is also required for communicating with hardware even if an FPGA bitfile is already available.

NI R Series Multifunction RIO Device Drivers May 2019 ends support for the following devices:
- PXI-7811
- PXI-7813
- Ends support for PXIe-7811 and PXIe-7813

National Instruments reconfigurable I/O (RIO) technology gives you the ability to define your own custom measurement hardware circuitry using reconfigurable field-programmablegate array (FPGA) chips and NI LabVIEW graphical development tools. NI R Series multifunction RIO devices offer the best combination of value and performance by integratingthis FPGA technology with eight analog inputs, eight analog outputs, and 96 digital I/O lines, all into a single device that is offered on standard PC form factors such as PCI, PCIExpress, and PXI/CompactPCI. Using the LabVIEW FPGA Module, you can create your own hardware personalities for custom data acquisition, high-speed control, digitalcommunications protocols, sensor simulation, hardware-in-the-loop test, and onboard signal processing without in-depth knowledge of hardware description languages.

Complete the following steps to install NI R Series Multifunction RIO Device Drivers June 2019 for use with LabVIEW.

Install one of the following supported versions of LabVIEW:

- LabVIEW 2019
- LabVIEW 2018 SP1
- LabVIEW 2017
- LabVIEW 2016

1. Install the LabVIEW Real-Time Module.
2. Install the LabVIEW FPGA Module.
3. Install NI R Series Multifunction RIO Device Drivers June 2019 using the installation media or NI Driver media

Supported Operating Systems

NI R Series Multifunction RIO Device Drivers supports the following operating systems:

- Windows 10/8.1*/7 SP1**
- Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1**
- Windows Server 2012 R2*
- Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1**

* NI software installs VC2015 Runtime and .NET 4.6.2. Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 require Microsoft updates to support these items.
** NI software is signed with a SHA-256 certificate. Windows 7 SP1, Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1, and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 require Microsoft updates to support SHA-256.

Note: In 2016, NI R Series Multifunction RIO dropped support for Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and installations of Windows 7 without any service packs. NI R Series Multifunction RIO June 2019 will                                                                                                                                                                                                          not install or run on an unsupported OS. You cannot deploy or distribute applications that use NI R Series Multifunction RIO June 2019 to an unsupported OS. Additionally, after installing NI R Series Multifunction RIO June 2019, you cannot use any installers built on this computer with any version of LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, NI TestStand, or Measurement Studio on an unsupported OS.
Note: Support for Windows 32-bit operating systems may require disabling physical address extension (PAE).
