This security update includes improvements and fixes that were a part of update KB4499178 (released May 23, 2019) and addresses the following issues:

- Addresses an issue with the HTTP and HTTPS string character limit for URLs when using Internet Explorer.

In keeping with the build up to the launch, Microsoft chose a low-key launch event, in stark contract to the glittering affair that launched the badly-received Windows Vista.

Microsoft made a commitment to provide 10 years of product support for Windows 7 when it was released on October 22, 2009. When this 10-year period ends, Microsoft will discontinue Windows 7 support. The specific end of support day for Windows 7 will be January 14, 2020. After that, technical assistance and software updates from Windows Update that help protect your PC will no longer be available for the product.
