Water is such an important part of our lives and we need to increase our understanding of water in its natural setting

Water is such an important part of our daily lives and we have a big influence on water in the natural environment.  We need to improve our understanding of this topic.

We use water and groundwater in our daily lives for a wide range of purposes. This varies from direct personal needs such as drinking water or personal hygiene to indirect needs such as generating electricity, supporting manufacturing, agriculture and mining.

That is why we need to talk about water and go on a journey to look at how water and groundwater occurs in nature - so that we can understand this dynamic process better.  This course sets a baseline to build this understanding. Our approach is to understand the Water Cycle (or Hydrological Cycle as some people call it) and this is the route that we will follow in this course
