For life coaches and wellbeing practitioners who have lived experience of caregiving wanting to support unpaid carers

What you'll learn
Finish the course with a completed, care plan for an adult dependent
Gather and organise a care recipient's essential information - medical, legal, and practical
Use a shared calendar and task list in a way that reduces conflict instead of creating it
Build a simple, dated care record that protects everyone if care is ever questioned
Requirements
There are no minimum requirements. If you already have some care responsibilities you are in a great position for this course.
The course draws on whatever your current knowledge and extends it.
Description
This course is for coaches and practitioners who have their own lived experience of caregiving and want to turn that experience into a structured, professional coaching practice.
You'll start by understanding the real scale and shape of unpaid care: the practical, emotional, relational, and financial load carers absorb, and why demand for this kind of support is growing, not shrinking. From there, the course draws a firm line around what a caregiving coach does and doesn't do - where coaching ends and legal, financial, medical, or statutory social work begins - and gives you a safeguarding framework for recognising risk and referring out responsibly.
At the centre of the course is BRIDGE: a six-lens coaching framework - Baseline and Boundaries, Relationships, Identity, Decisions and Determinations, Goals and GROW, and Enablement - built to hold both structure and empathy, and to flex between steady-state coaching and crisis-mode support depending on what your client needs that day.
You'll work through the most common obstacles carers bring to coaching with a supportive strategy and clear referral points for each.
The course includes additional lectures, interactive coaching, a workbook, and an assignment to be used with Carer clients to build a preliminary Care Management Plan.
The course closes with a practical look at how coordination tools - using KinBridge as a worked example - help families reduce admin load and keep information in one place, so you can advise on structure, not just sentiment.
Who this course is for
Paid and unpaid carers with responsibilities for the care of the elderly or with impaired physical or mental capacity.
