The first step in this process is the legally-recognized transformation of sewage sludge into biosolids. By regulatory definition, biosolids are sewage sludge that meets the nationally-recognized quality requirements necessary for environmental recycling.Biosolids beneficial use represents a new and exciting approach to enhance agricultural production, combat climate change and achieve environmental sustainability.
