Advanced Techniques with the Flash Unit and Filters

What you'll learn
This course is a continuation of the Holga 120N/120GN course with more advanced photographic techniques
The student will learn about the history of the Holga 120N/120GN camera
The student will use flash photography.
The student will learn about special lighting in photography.
Requirements
Student must have a general knowledge of the Holga 120N/120GN camera or completed my course Holga Photography: The Holga 120N/120GN Camera course. The student will need the Holga 120N/120GN camera and 1 roll of 120 film, black and white or color film (ISO 100, ISO 400)
Description
In this course the student will learn more advanced features using the flash unit and filters. The student will be able to contrast photos to understand the effects and benefits of using these equipment. The focus of the course is the Holga 160S Mini Slave Flash Unit which comes with five filter attachments: red, blue, green, yellow and diffuser. The student will learn how to use this flash unit as an attachment to the camera and also learn about the different filters. For students that do not have the Holga 160S Mini Slave Flash Unit, they will explore other alternative flashes as well as other filters. By the end of the course, the student will have developed their portfolio which is a continuation of part one of this course: Holga Photography: The Holga 120N/120GN Camera. The photos are basic but with more hands-on information and assignments to continue to get the student acclimated to using the camera. It is the purpose of this course to limit the student to using one roll of 120 film to complete the course. As a matter of fact, all courses in the Holga Photography series are limited to no more than two rolls of film per course.
