The software developer Altair is pleased to announce the availability of Inspire Mold 2021.0.1 is rapidly becoming the industry benchmark for injection molding simulation in the early stages of product design.

New Features and Enhancements 2021.0.0

Hot Runners and Valve Gates
The new Hot Runners tool on the Runner System icon allows you to configure hot runners. You have the option to define the heating system based on constant temperature or insulated runners.

You can also define valve gates for the hot runners to control the flow of material through the gates. Click Select Valve Gates on the Runner System Configuration window and use the microdialog options to define the injection controls. Click Add Controller to specify when a valve opens or closes during the injection stage based on time, pressure, flow front or volume. Controls for multiple gates must be set up separately for each gate.

Altair Material Data Center
You can now import materials from the Altair Material Data Center into Inspire Mold. Just click the Import button on the My Materials tab of the Materials Viewer to import files in .xml or .json format. You can also export materials in .xml format as well.

Resolved Issues
The following issues were resolved in the 2021 release:
-  Fixed an issue with runs failing when using the French user interface. [CMG-847]
-  Fixed an issue with Portuguese translation. [CMG-895]
-  Fixed missing workflow help text for runner system tools. [CMG-952]
-  Fixed an issue where the default value for the sprue filling time was zero. [CMG-765]
-  Fixed an issue where warpage stage results for deformation. [CMG-870]
-  Improved post-processing performance for large models.

Resolved Issues
Fixed an issue writing the input deck that was creating temperature overshoots in the hot runner system.
