Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2020.4 Update | 408.2 mb
The Autodesk Civil product team has released an update to AutoCAD Civil 3D 2020. This release includes updated features, performance enhancements, and fixes.
Release Notes for Autodesk Civil 3D 2020.4 Note: Autodesk Civil 3D 2020.4 includes the product fixes included in Autodesk Civil 3D 2020.1, Autodesk Civil 3D 2020.2, and Autodesk Civil 3D 2020.3.
Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3DAdded the DataShortcutsSourceCheck system variable to change the behavior of warnings when saving to a mapped drive on a Nasuni Edge Appliance. When set to 0: Source entities are not checked and the warnings occur on the host client after the source file is saved in the source client. When set to 1: Source entities are checked and the warnings occur when the source entities are actually changed.
Improved performance when saving a drawing with unloaded external references.
Fixed a stability issue that occurred when opening a drawing from BIM 360 that contained unloaded xrefs to drawings that contained xrefs to each other.
CorridorsImproved performance when opening a drawing that contained a corridor that referenced a subassembly PKT file that was not imported.
Data ShortcutsFixed an issue in which setting the data shortcuts working folder to a read-only folder would cause Civil 3D to close unexpectedly.
Fixed a stability issue that could occur when repairing data shortcuts.
Fixed an issue in which data shortcuts could not be loaded while using the Always Available Offline setting in Windows 10 on folders on a network location.
Improved stability when saving a data shortcut source drawing that contained a corridor while both the host drawing and the source drawing were open at the same time.
ESRI ArcGIS Data WorkflowsFixed an issue in which the values of the StartInvert and EndInvert properties for pipes in a published ArcGIS layer were not correct. To resolve this issue, the StartInvert and EndInvert properties have been replaced by StartInvertElevation and EndInvertElevation.
Fixed an issue in which the Shape property created from publishing a pipe network from Civil 3D to ArcGIS prevented the pipe network from being imported back into Civil 3D. To resolve this issue, the Shape property has been replaced by PipeShape.
Hydraflow ExtensionsFixed an issue in which a high elevation caused incorrect culvert calculation results in Hydraflow Express.
MiscellaneousImproved stability when using the Save or Save As commands to save a drawing.
Fixed a stability issue that occurred when using the REFEDIT command to edit multiline text in an xref then saving the drawing.
Object EnablerImproved stability when saving a drawing that contained catchments in AutoCAD Map 3D with the Civil 3D Object Enabler installed.
Pipe NetworksFixed an issue in which pipes with a slope of zero were ignored when finding the outfall structure.
Fixed an issue in which the outfall was not shown in the gravity network analysis report.
Fixed an issue in which the EGL results were different when Inlet Analysis was not selected in the Analyze Gravity Network dialog box.
Fixed an issue in which pipe slope was calculated by the 3D length instead of the 2D length in a gravity network analysis report.
Fixed an issue in which structure depths were not updated on the Details page of the Analyze Gravity Network dialog box after changing the invert elevation of a pipe.
Fixed an issue in which the Manning's n value would not be updated on pipes after clicking Apply in the Analyze Gravity Network dialog box.
Fixed an issue in which critical depth was shown as 0 instead of N/A in a gravity network analysis report.
Plan ProductionImproved performance when Descriptionting multiple sheets.
PointsFixed an issue in which the transformation settings that were specified in the Drawing Settings dialog box were not retained when a drawing was saved and reopened.
ProfilesFixed an issue in which a Multiply Owned Object error message was displayed.
Reference TemplatesFixed an issue in which a Multiply Owned Object error message could be displayed at the command line when editing a label style that was referenced into the drawing from a reference template.
AutoCAD Civil 3D software from Autodesk addresses the needs of civil engineering companies involved in standalone and BIM (building information modelling) Civil engineering projects.
Built on a familiar AutoCAD platform AutoCAD Civil 3D has been specifically geared to address the challenging needs of civil engineers around the world involved in complex and demanding civil engineering projects such as land development, transportation (for example M25 motorway improvements) and even water based engineering projects.
Autodesk Civil 3D 2020 delivers further improvements to performance and scalability, enhancing BIM design and production efficiencies for larger, more complex projects, the company said. New features and the new Dynamo for Civil 3D will streamline repetitive tasks and help users get more out of models. Users can get started with the included sample scripts or use the visual programming environment to develop custom scripts to tackle specific tasks.
In addition to the introduction of Dynamo for Civil 3D, the 2020 version of Civil 3D also comes with notable enhancements to storm and sanitary analysis, gravity network analysis, and an upgraded user interface.
Civil 3D 2020 - New Features and Updates Autodesk helps people imagine, design and create a better world. Everyone-from design professionals, engineers and architects to digital artists, students and hobbyists-uses Autodesk software to unlock their creativity and solve important challenges.
