New Features
The following new features are available in this release.

Flotherm Package Creator
Flotherm Package creator is a separate application installed with Simcenter Flotherm XT that specializes in the rapid creation of detailed thermal models of electronic packages.

- New Package Wizard starts the process
- Select the appropriate template and use JEDEC standards to create new package.
- Completion of wizard will populate the package tree with SmartParts based on wizard entries.
- Package tree is a list of the packaging SmartPartsthat collectively form the package model. SmartParts used will depend upon type of package.
- Each SmartPart has its own property sheet with geometric, thermal and modelling level specification. For example, substrate.
- Once imported into Simcenter Flotherm XT the package can be directly used in a simulation model, calibrated against T3ster measurement or saved into library to enable future use in EDA Bridge.

Material Map

The material map is a method to represent the copper content within a board using a network assembly. Properties of this network are either based on an analysis of the copper in the board transferred from EDA Bridge or on a file imported to define the conductivity.

- When a board is transferred from EDA Bridge an additional material map modelling level has been included.
- When selected the material map option will transfer high resolution images of the copper in each layer.
- The images are processed with a new modelling level in the PCB SmartPart to create a high fidelity representation of the board but without the overhead of a fine mesh requirement. The resulting conductivity can be viewed.
- The fidelity of the representation can be adjusted by switching from fine to averaging to smear the effects of the copper across a patchwork effect.
- Alternatively a formatted csv file can be attached to a PCB SmartPart defined using geometry created in Simcenter Flotherm XT.
