JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Blaine Gabbert is a sideline spectator again. The Jacksonville Jaguars ruled out Gabbert for Sundays game at Oakland after he sliced open the back of his throwing hand in the season opener. Gabbert caught his right hand on a defenders facemask while scrambling for a 4-yard gain the closing minutes against Kansas City on Sunday. He received 15 stitches to close the wound. He wont be able to practice this week because of concerns that dirt and sweat could get in the wound and cause infection. The team is hopeful he will be able to play Sept. 22 at Seattle. If not, then he should return Sept. 29 against Indianapolis. "Its got to heal and we need to keep it clean," coach Gus Bradley said. "The big concern would be with all the stitches that it could reopen and then the chance of infection occurs. So were going to handle that right. Hopefully we get him back either next week or following the Seattle game." Gabbert has missed eight of the teams last 11 games, including the final six last season. He played through a torn labrum in his left shoulder last season, but ended up on injured reserve because of a forearm injury. He missed two preseason games last month after sustaining a hairline fracture in his right thumb. Team doctors took X-rays of Gabberts hand after his latest injury, but there was no damage aside from the gash. "It was pretty severe," Bradley said. "Theyre worried that some of the skin isnt there. It ripped off part of the skin, so some of those are even open right now even though they were stitched. So the fear of getting infection and sweat from practice and anything that could get in there." Chad Henne will start against the Raiders, and newly signed Ricky Stanzi will serve as the backup. Henne split repetitions with Gabbert during the off-season and in training camp, so he should be able to step into the starting role without any issues. Henne started Jacksonvilles final two preseasons games. "If theres one good out of that now we have a guy thats seasoned, thats played a lot of football for us," Bradley said. "We have a lot of faith in Chad. I know that hes a guy we felt strongly about going through the whole process." Gabbert completed 16 of 35 passes for 121 yards and two interceptions against the Chiefs, including one Tamba Hali returned for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. He was sacked six times in the 28-2 loss, the worst opener in franchise history. Henne completed 3 of 6 passes for 36 yards in relief. The former Michigan standout started the final six games last season and finished with 2,084 yards passing, 11 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He lost the battle for the starting job in training camp last month and recently vowed to stay ready for another chance. "Obviously its been a roller coaster, but at the same time, I just try to keep a level head," Henne said. "I go out there each and every day, try to get better and compete and just show the coaching staff that Im ready whenever my numbers called. ... You never know whats going to go on throughout the season. There are injuries that happen, and I just have to stay ready at all times." Danilo Gallinari Jersey . When New Zealand finally held on for an 8-7 win, France No. 8 Imanol Harinordoquy collapsed to the ground, having given every drop of energy he could muster, and lay prone as All Blacks danced around him in celebration. Few critics had given France any chance, but coach Marc Lievremonts team rallied from 8-0 down and came within one kick of taking the lead with 15 minutes remaining, only for flyhalf Francois Trinh-Ducs 49-meter effort to drift wide. https://www.cheapnuggets.com/347y-bobby-jones-jersey-nuggets.html .6 seconds left to give the Toronto Raptors a 92-89 victory over the Boston Celtics in an exhibition game Wednesday night. Now, we all know youve played the role of Andre 3000 in the past, does that mean Outkast is getting your vote?AJ: You know it, you know it. Cheap Nuggets Jerseys . They probably ruined Tim Duncans hopes of a career change, though. Duncan wants to be a point guard, coach Gregg Popovich revealed Saturday, a wish that wont be granted.Leading up to SportsCentres Year In Review on Christmas Eve, TSN and TSN.ca look back at each of the Top 10 stories of 2013. Today, we look back at LeBron James and the Miami Heat winning their second straight NBA championship. The Decision seems so long ago now. Its now been over three years since LeBron James sat down with Jim Gray to let the world know that he was taking his talents to South Beach, turning his back on his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers and signing with the Miami Heat to form - along with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade - the NBAs most hated triumvirate. Something strange, but compelling, has happened since then and it culminated in the Heats second-straight NBA Championship this past June. It took three years, but LeBron James finally found redemption. Few shed tears when the Heat fell to the Dallas Mavericks in six games in the 2011 NBA Finals. The sense of schadenfreude was palpable as Mark Cubans charges pulled the upset and left the Heat wondering what went wrong. When the team re-emerged in 2012 as Eastern Conference Champions and mowed down the Oklahoma City Thunder to claim the Heats second-ever NBA Title, there was a sense of inevitability. They were built to be the best and they were and there was nothing anyone could say otherwise. But something changed in 2013 and its hard to put a finger on it. The NBAs reigning championns, the leagues biggest heels in recent memory, underwent a transformation that few saw coming.dddddddddddd Maybe it was the second act of Chris “Birdman” Andersen, the man once banned from the league on drug offences who signed in January and emerged as a catalyst for the club just before their 27-game winning-streak that took them into late March. Maybe it was watching Ray Allen, chartered member of the Boston Celtics “Big Three” shift into a supporting role with the Heat, coming off of the bench to provide key minutes.  Maybe it was watching the team battle to a seven-game Eastern Conference finals victory over the upstart Indiana Pacers, the team that will most likely challenge their Eastern Conference crown come this June. If it was none of those, it was certainly Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Down 13 points in the fourth to the San Antonio Spurs and seemingly doomed to their second defeat in the NBA Finals in three seasons, James decided to take control of the narrative on his own, dropping 18 points in the final frame to help send the game into overtime, where the Heat came back for a 103-100 win to even the series for a third time. The Heats Game 7 triumph seemed like an inevitability after that, the aging Spurs deflated and resigned to defeat. In looking human, the Heat found humility. In humility, they found victory. ' ' '
