Private, native ARM32/ARM64 file system folders and registry keys are accessible both at build time from the IDE and at runtime from the setup engine. Native setup captures/application repackaging with PackageAware on ARM64 complete InstallAware's roundup for Desktop Windows 10 powered always-on, Cellular PCs.
InstallAware X9 also includes a brand-new MSIX Builder, helping software developers target Microsoft's next generation packaging format with all of their existing solutions and projects. Thanks to InstallAware's integration with all versions of Microsoft Visual Studio, a single-click on the Visual Studio toolbar is all it takes to produce a MSIX package from any Visual Studio solution/project, bridging all existing Win32, Win64, and .NET apps to the future through the Desktop Bridge to the Microsoft Windows Store.
InstallAware X9 also includes an updated, 32-bit compatible compression engine, which shaves 10%-50% off already-compressed application runtimes, frameworks, and databases. For example, Microsoft's latest .NET Framework 4.7.2 compresses 13% smaller, and MS SQL Server Express 2016 with SP1 compresses 38% smaller with InstallAware X9, above and over their already-compressed, "Microsoft original" sizes - for the exact same setup payload and binary data, simply by using InstallAware to deploy the payloads!
InstallAware X9 also refreshes its database technology, supporting all versions of Microsoft SQL Server through 2017, all versions of MySQL through 8.x, and all versions of Oracle through 18c. No client software is required on client systems for database connections, simplifying the installation process and dramatically boosting the rate of successful installations by eliminating all points of potential failure, in the best tradition of InstallAware - the sole source for setups which always work, the first time, everywhere.
