Learn to easily memorize and then remember the order of the reactivity series for the rest of your life!

What you'll learn

Easiest way to remember the reactivity series
Learn the Link-Story technique to memorize the reactivity series in order
Learn to recall the reactivity series in order of the most reactive
Learn to recall the reactivity series in order of the least reactive
Never forget the reactivity series ever again
Learn the Leitner system to help you remember the reactivity series forever

Requirements

Description

What is the reactivity series?

The reactivity series allows us to predict how metals will react. It is arranged from the most reactive metal, potassium, to the least reactive metal, platinum. Potassium react violently in water, while platinum and gold does not react when in contact with water.

Why memorize the reactivity series?

If you are a chemistry student, it is crucial that you memorize the reactive series. Many exams questions  are based on the reactivity series, so by memorizing the order of their reactivity you are doing yourself a huge favor.

What are the memory techniques that will be taught in this class?

There are 2 memory technique that I be teaching you.

The Link-Story Technique which is a type of mnemonic. It is an extremely simple but highly effective way to memorize information. The reason why I choose this memory technique and not the acronym memory technique is because the acronym technique is not effective in memorizing the reactivity series. The acronym technique takes the first letter of each word and form a story or poem. Let me explain why this method is ineffective"

    Example:

There are 2 'c' in the reactivity series. copper and calcium. By using the acronym memory technique, I will not know which one comes first. Is it copper or calcium. Another example: There are also 2 'S' in the reactivity series, Silver and Sodium. Again, which one comes first?

The Leitner system which is a memory technique that will help you transfer information from your short-term to you long-term memory. After memorizing the reactivity series, you will want to store the information that you just memorized in your long-term memory. This will not happen automatically. But by using the Leitner system, you will learn the right strategies to help transfer this information from your short-term to long-term memory.

In this course, you will learn:

How to remember the reactivity series in perfect order.

Be able to recall the reactivity series according to the most reactive.

Be able to recall the reactivity series according to the least reactive.

Learn the Leitner system to make sure you remember the reactivity series forever. Never forget this list again!

Be able to answer questions from memory: Which is more reactive, Sodium or Tin?

Be able to answer questions from memory:Which is least reactive, Iron or Zinc?

Be able to answer questions from memory: What metal come after Aluminium or before ?

The list of elements that we will be memorizing in order from the most reactive the the least reactive:

    Potassium

    Sodium

    Calcium

    Magnesium

    Aluminium

    Carbon

    Zinc

    Iron

    Tin

    Lead

    Hydrogen

    Copper

    Silver

    Gold

    Platinum

Who this course is for:

Students stuggling to memorise and remember the reactivity series in order
Students who have difficulty remember the reactivity series for a long period of time
