Description
This course will step you through the process of designing a database from idea to implementation.
In this course you will learn how to model an idea using Entity Relationship Diagrams that will define how your tables will be related. You will then identify the appropriate attributes to enforce the referential integrity of your design. Once you have established your baseline design, you will be shown how to create the application side of the database. The latter will be supported with user interaction forms and application control navigation features. Your database design will also include queries that will help accomplish its main goals.
For this design example, we will use a transactional database example. This database will keep track of client transactions while updating products inventory levels.
This example will be implemented using Microsoft Access, but the design processes presented should apply to many other platforms such as Oracle, mySQL...etc.
