Piergiuseppe Zaia is an Italian Director, Writer, Producer and Composer. At the age of four, he began studying piano and singing, under the tutelage of Maestro L. Mortarino, as well as participating in and winning many Nationwide contests. Aged just ten years old, Zaia was admitted into the Conservatorio A. Vivaldi in Alessandria, where he continued piano studies with renowned pianists, such as Maestros Audino and Vercillo.
Then on being accepted into the, Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi, in Milan, he advanced his studies in piano, singing, composition and conducting with such illustrious artists as, Giampiero Malaspina and Wilma Vernocchi. At the age of eighteen, he joined the RAI Orchestra and Chorus, Radiotelevisione Italiana Spa. working with the most successful conductors of the time. In 1988 he made his debut, as a Lyric Tenor, with Giacomo Puccini's Tosca, under the guidance of Maestro Giampiero Malaspina and continued giving concerts for several years, thereafter. Mr Zaia studied and worked to perfect his skills in composition and conducting, with prestigious teachers, such as Maestros Vladimir Delman and Carl Melles. This led to a natural progression in working with The Teatro La Scala Milan, performing contemporary works such as, Ascesa e caduta della citta di Mahagonny, by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, directed by Maestro Virginio Puecher, who subsequently encouraged Zaia, to direct in the Operatic Theatre. In 1989, Zaia founded what is known today as, the Festival of Saint Vincent, where Mr Zaia discovered numerous talents and produced them with his own company, MasterTrack, where as director and producer, began directing hundreds of music videos for, established famous singers and emerging talents. Simultaneously, over a period of eighteen years, Zaia directed the Blue Sound Gospel Chorus. Mr Zaia's passion for directing, led him to form Artuniverse Srl, where with Eleonora Fani, Executive producer, Co-authored, the script Creators, The Past, the first of a trilogy saga, from the production house, Artuniverse Srl. Utilising all his skills from his career thus far, Mr Zaia is the composer of the complete soundtrack and also the director of the movie, CREATORS the Past. The entire film, shot in Italy, in the English language, with a truly international cast and world famous Actors including, William Shatner, (Star Trek), Gerard Depardieu, Bruce Payne, Peter Antico and Sebastien Foucan.
