This course use artificial intelligence to create some content.This course provides a comprehensive, hands-on journey through the complete workflow of developing hydrogeological models - from initial conceptual understanding to advanced numerical simulation. Participants will learn how to translate field data, geological interpretations, and aquifer parameters into a robust conceptual hydrogeological framework. The course emphasizes data integration from boreholes, pumping tests, water chemistry, and geophysical surveys to define aquifer geometry, boundary conditions, and hydraulic characteristics.Building on the conceptual model, students will be guided through constructing, calibrating, and validating numerical models using leading simulation tools (e.g., MODFLOW , HydroGeShpere ). Emphasis is placed on understanding groundwater flow dynamics, recharge/discharge processes, and the interaction between surface and subsurface water systems. Real-world case studies are used to demonstrate how hydrogeological models support groundwater management, contamination assessment, and sustainable resource planning.By the end of the course, participants will be able to independently design and implement both conceptual and numerical hydrogeological models, evaluate model performance, and communicate results effectively for decision-making. This course is ideal for geoscientists, hydrogeologists, and environmental engineers seeking practical modeling skills in groundwater system analysis and management. The course has a practical approach, focusing on the quantitative aspects of the mechanisms that convert infiltration from hydrological processes into hydrogeological mechanisms.
