Post office
• The ability to cancel or schedule sending, remind about the letter and track responses makes it even easier to manage your email.
• An improved search feature displays more accurate and complete results and offers suggestions as you type.
Spotlight
• Quick view allows you to view any file from the list of results by simply pressing the spacebar on it.
• The Image Search feature helps you find images on the web, as well as in Photos, Messages, Notes and Finder.
• Right in the search, you can view detailed information about musicians, films, companies, sports teams and competitions, and much more.
Safari and login keys
• Shared tab groups allow you to share sets of tabs with other users. As you work together, you'll immediately see any changes to the shared tab group.
• Login keys are a simpler and more secure login method designed to replace traditional passwords.
Messages
• To simplify the correspondence, new functions have appeared: now you can edit the message, cancel sending or mark the message as unread.
• Thanks to SharePlay support in Messages, you can watch movies, listen to music and view various content together with friends while chatting.
• Conversations in Messages can be easily invited to collaborate on files, and all updates will be displayed in the conversation.
Photo
• iCloud Shared Library makes it easy to share photos and videos with up to five family members in a separate library built into the Photos app.
director
• Arranger automatically arranges windows and applications by placing the active application in the center of the screen and other open applications to the left of it.
• To switch between applications, you can tap any open application on the left side of the screen.
• In the Director, you can group applications, creating convenient collections.
• Quick Desktop Access makes it easy to drag and drop files into applications open in the Director.
FaceTime
• Handoff for FaceTime lets you instantly transfer FaceTime calls from Mac to iPhone or iPad and vice versa.
Continuity Function for Camera
• Continuity for Camera lets you use your iPhone as a webcam for a nearby Mac by attaching your iPhone to the holder (requires iPhone XR or later).
• A variety of video and lighting effects are available, including Portrait (on iPhone XR and later), Spotlight (on iPhone 11 and later), and Studio Light (on iPhone 11 and later).
• Desktop View uses the iPhone's ultra-wide camera to showcase your desktop during video conferences (requires iPhone 11 or later).
This update also contains other features and improvements.
• The Clock app on your Mac provides world clocks, timers, and alarms, features that are also available on other Apple devices.
• The Mac Weather app is optimized for the large display and includes interactive animations, hourly forecasts and detailed weather maps.
• The subject in a photo can be lifted off the background and then copied and pasted into applications such as Mail and Messages.
• Focus filters hide distracting content in apps like Calendar, Mail, Messages, Safari, and third-party apps.
• The updated interface of System Settings has become more convenient for navigation.
• Rapid Threat Responses let you install critical macOS security updates more quickly.
