The software developer Siemens Digital Industries Software is pleased to announce the availability of SIRIUS Soft Starter ES V17 is the central software package for the configuration, commissioning, operation, and diagnosis of the SIRIUS 3RW5 and 3RW44 soft starters.
What is new in SIRIUS Soft Starter ES V17
- Support of the new SIRIUS 3RW5 modules and firmware versions:
. PROFINET High Feature V3.0 communication module for 3RW55: System redundancy
. HMI High Feature V3.2: Automatic trace recording
- Improved performance when loading trace data
- Extension of the online help to include the chapter "Recording an automatic trace with the HMI HF"
- Improvement in stability when working with the TIA Portal, among other things based on feedback from returned crash reports

Soft Starter ES Basic is a powerful tool for commissioning or maintenance engineers and is offered for download free of charge at Siemens Industry Online Support using this download entry-ID.
SIRIUS Soft Starter ES V17 Professional :for connection to one or several SIRIUS 3RW44 / 3RW50 / 3RW52 / 3RW55 Standard and Failsafe soft starters via PROFIBUS DP, PROFINET or directly on the device via the system interface, for commissioning, parameterization and diagnostics with full functionality. With Soft Starter ES V17 Professional, the soft starters are optionally either parameterized and diagnosed directly on the device or centrally via PROFIBUS DP or PROFINET. Thanks to the display of all operating, service and diagnostics data, Soft Starter ES V17 Professional provides valuable information, helps to prevent faults and, in actual fault cases, facilitates fast localization and rectification.
