Description
This course takes you through all the steps of working in the art department on any professional film in a step by step easy to follow guide. Every section is covered using visual examples of actual jobs created from the initial script breakdowns to budgeting and scheduling for the crew. Detailed designs are analysed showing images from inception through to filming in useful but informative presentations. See how scripts are broken down and learn professional budgets stage by stage using the individual modules. Special extended sessions cover everything from prop sourcing and handling, set-building in studios, location filming, model-making and even designing using perspective to achieve distance. Scenic art and special effects are also discussed in these thorough workshops.Bruce has designed a plethora of work from Michael Jackson's 'Billy Jean', Kate Bush's 'Cloudbuster' and Peter Gabriel's 'I Don't Remember' videos to numerous well known commercials, short films and features during his over thirty year career. His most recent feature is still awaiting release. He has done numerous lectures, written a book and experienced all art department positions in his rise to production design from painting the rocky landscape for the film "Alien' to sculpting foam monoliths for the recent Netflix 'Witcher' series.
