About Itasca Flac.  FLAC (Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua) and FLAC3Dmodel, in 2D and 3D respectively, the behavior of soil, rock and other materials under loadthat have the potential to weaken, fail or collapse. The software is capable of simulating large-strains (including collapse) and can incorporate joints and faults along which movement can occur, groundwater flow, construction sequences, dynamic events, ground support and heat flow.

FLAC/Slope, a streamlined version of FLAC, is designed specifically for automatic slope stability factor-of-safety analyses.
