Six baby animals have mysteriously disappeared, and the sanctuary needs your help! In this fun, creative self-paced adventure, learners will become
Rescue Rangers, working alongside Captain Quill, the sanctuary's clever parrot, to solve the mystery and help bring the missing animals home.
The course is divided into
six exciting sections, with each section focusing on a different baby animal: a
puppy, elephant, chameleon, river otter, pony, and panda. Through a combination of drawing, research, creativity, and storytelling, learners will discover fascinating facts about each animal while developing a range of valuable skills.
Each animal rescue includes three creative challenges. First, learners will follow a
step-by-step drawing tutorial, learning how to observe shapes, features, and details as they create their own animal illustration. Next, they will become an
Animal Detective, researching interesting facts about their animal, including its habitat, diet, behaviour, adaptations, and basic needs. Finally, they will take part in a
Creative Care Challenge, using their imagination to design a habitat, shelter, safe space, or other environment to help their rescued animal feel happy, healthy, and secure.
The course has a consistent structure throughout, helping learners build confidence while each new section introduces a different animal and another part of the unfolding sanctuary mystery. Lessons are delivered through
pre-recorded video instruction, clear drawing demonstrations, colourful slides, and an engaging adventure story.
I guide learners through each activity in a friendly and encouraging way, with instructions designed to be accessible to a range of ages and abilities. Because this is a self-paced course, learners can
pause, rewind, replay, and revisit lessons whenever they need to, allowing them to work at a comfortable pace.
Along the way, learners will develop
drawing, observation, research, creativity, critical-thinking, and animal knowledge skills, all while taking part in an imaginative rescue adventure.
Learners can also choose to share their drawings, Detective Files, and Care Challenge creations in the course community. I love seeing what learners create and will provide encouragement, respond to questions, and celebrate their creativity where appropriate.
