The course focuses on the two basic building blocks of written Hindi:
vowels and consonants. Rather than asking you to memorize a long alphabet mechanically, the lessons help you understand
how each character sounds, how it is represented in Roman transliteration, and how the sound is actually produced.
Section 1: Vowels of HindiYou will begin with the Hindi vowel system and learn the commonly used vowel sounds one by one.

- the difference between short and long vowel sounds
- practical English sound references to help with pronunciation
