This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
This hands-on course shows you how to design and simulate digital twins of robotic cells and industrial automation systems from scratch. You will learn how to translate a real-world automation problem into a virtual model, define the mechanical structure, add sensors and actuators, and integrate control logic so that your digital twin behaves like the physical system.
We start with the fundamentals of digital twins and Industry 4.0, then move into practical system modeling. You will create virtual representations of workstations, conveyors, or robotic cells, define kinematics and constraints, and connect them to automation logic. Step by step, you will learn how to run simulations, measure performance, and identify bottlenecks before anything is built in hardware.
The course emphasizes human-machine collaboration and safety. You will see how to use your digital twin to evaluate operator reach, safe zones, and ergonomic aspects, as well as to test abnormal scenarios and failure conditions.
