Understanding the intricacies of routing within vlans in a spine-and-leaf topology, while using Layer 3 ether-channel, is vital to networks of today.

Using the switch-port security configurations is the beginning of creating a secure access-layer network. Also we must be able to understand not only the configuration commands but how to interpret the feedback that your router or switch display.

The labs you create do not need to be enormous, they simply need to meet the requirement that you need to accomplish. With that said a three to four router lab using layer 3 switches as well, will meet almost all your networking needs, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP, VLANS, LAYER 3 ETHER-CHANNEL, PORT-SECURITY, ACLS, ETC...

You need to organize your lab in orderly fashion, from connecting devices to IP schemes and routing.
