DescriptionReiki was originally designed as a form of professional therapeutic hands-on therapy in Japan that focuses on the seven main chakras of the body to promote healing for the mind, body, and soul. It's an alternative form of relaxation that allows the receiver to focus on areas of the physical and mental aspects of the body to find healing.
Reiki is a professional therapeutic hands-on application used in all modern health centers from hospitals, operating rooms, family care practices, and holistic healing centers. It is widely recognized as relieving stress and promoting health for the mind, body, and spirit as the receiver experiences hands-on therapy by a Reiki practitioner to reflect on the current state of their body. For Reiki practitioners, the choices are endless when it comes to the environment of treating clients.
This foundation course teaches the history of Reiki, how to use Reiki as a professional therapeutic hands-on application with stationery hand placements for the seven charkas, the business aspect of being a Reiki practitioner, as well as ethics based on state laws for bodywork. This course of twenty-four hours provides an individual with the knowledge and skills to provide professional therapeutic hands-on application of Reiki for healing.
Students will learn how to use the principles of Reiki as a professional therapeutic hands-on application. This therapy is ideal for massage therapist who are wanting to broaden their client base to those who don't feel comfortable with the traditional practices of massage, but still want healing and relaxation. This course is also for those who are wanting to become Reiki practitioners with a business mind frame.
Students will go in-depth on the professional therapeutic hands-on application of Reiki , how to prepare a client for Reiki, performing Reiki both lying down or siting, and helping a client understand the depths of their Reiki session. Students will learn also learn that Reiki is a way to guide the receiver to discovering their own paths of healing.
Included in the course content in addition to learning Reiki as a professional therapeutic hands-on application will be: 1) the standards of practice of ethics and state laws for professionals 2) strategies for the marketing of Reiki as a professional therapeutic hands-on application 3) client assessment protocols, skills for client record keeping, and strategies for working with other health care professionals 4) and hygiene, methods of infectious disease control, organization and management of the treatment environment.
