Description
Capoeira is a unique martial art with a huge arsenal of movements and kicks from very basic and simple up to super flashy and advanced kicks.

In this course we will learn some of the more advanced kicks the art of capoeira has to offer, some of which also found their way from capoeira into other martial arts due to their extreme power and aesthetics.

although this course deals with advanced movements, it is designed to fit the novice practitioner as well.

through easy to understand, step by step progressions filmed on high quality cameras and using the digital medium to its fullest potential. With the help of multiple angles and effects we will learn and                                                                                                                                                                                                       practice circular momentum, upper body strength, corporal balance, explosive power, flexibility and correct body mechanics.

eventually learning the:

* "parafuso" - spinning round house kick.

* "parafuso com troca" - spinning round house kick with leg switch.

* "amazonas" - single handed handstand kick.

* "martelo de chao" - the floor round house kick.

* "meia lua de compasso" - half moon compass kick.

* "meia lua raiz" - well...you'll just have to sign up to understand this one.

attached to each video class will also be a unique pdf format training program that will walk you through the technical progressions and through the strength and flexibility drills needed to reach the course goals.
