Construction software maker SOFiSTiK is pleased to announce the availability of Reinforcement Detailing & Reinforcement Generation 2020-2. This release include new capabilities and/or bug fixes that improve the initial release.


Reinforcement Detailing & Reinforcement Generation 2020-2 - Release Notes:
SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing significantly accelerates the creation of 2D reinforcement sheets out of 3D-Rebar models in Revit. The product consists of software and a set of families, which can easily be modified to meet national or company standards. Creation of bar lists, bending schedules and cut lists for wire meshes is included as well.


Resolved Issues
- Fixed an issue that was preventing the creation of schedules if the project is saved in the cloud (BIM360 projects).
- Fixed an issue caused that shape detail for running length rebars did not show the total calculated length.
- Fixed an issue that was preventing shape detail of bent fabrics from getting updated.
- Fixed an issue that was preventing the Shape Detail tool to create shape detail for some non-standard 3d shape codes.
- Fixed an issue that was preventing the Shape Detail tool to create shape detail for non-standard shape codes which created with a previous version.
- Fixed an issue caused an error by using the shape detail tool.
- Fixed an issue caused that shape details for shape codes 95-96 do not represent bend diameter.
- Fixed an issue that was preventing the Hide and Tag tool to create annotations in certain sections for beams and circular columns.
- Fixed an issue: Hide and Tag annotations will be automatically deleted if called for the second time.
- Fixed an issue caused that the language in settings dialog is always in English.
- Fixed an issue that caused an updater error in rebar sketch mode for free from with bend workshop instructions.
- Fixed an issue caused that the project name for bend fabrics will not be written in the output file of Export for Production tool.
- Fixed an issue that was preventing the content pack from being loaded.

SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing: Getting Started



SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Generation automatically generates a 3D rebar model inside of Autodesk Revit based on computed analysis and design results. The rebar model provides an automatically generated proposition of reinforcement layout which fulfils the reinforcement requirement and which can be freely modified. Design requirements from construction codes and company standards can be controlled by user-defined rules similar to the approach used in expert systems. Visualization of existing reinforcement vs. required reinforcement provides a clear indication whether adequate reinforcement has been provided.
SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Generation is not a substitute for Autodesk Revit Extensions as both complement each other. Connections between elements (e.g. wall to slab) are not fully catered in this version, nor are constructional reinforcement.



Resolved Issues
- Fixed an issue that was preventing reinforcement generation to work with Beam Design results of SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design.

- SOFiSTiK Analysis + Design requires Revit 2020.
- The Rhinoceros Interface requires Rhino 6.
- SOFiPLUS-X does not require AutoCAD.
- The databases (cdb) created by the FEA programs are not compatible with those of the full version and vice versa.
- Our products are tested and released for Windows 8.1 (64bit) and 10.
