MakeMKV is a disc ripper / format converter that transforms videos from proprietary and encrypted discs into MKV files. This software provides a one-click solution to convert videos into free, patent-free formats that can be played on various platforms. The resulting MKV files can store multiple audio and video tracks, as well as all meta-information and chapters.
MakeMKV can read/rip DVDs and Blu-ray discs, even many that are encrypted with the latest versions of copy protection.
