Writing screenplays for short films and web series formats.Class is for aspiring novice screenwriters who have that great idea that they want to make themselves or to pitch to producers, investors, networks, and executives.For short films, this class is useful in simplifying your story to the most crucial scenes and character development in a tight 3-act structure. For web series, you will be able to understand how to formulate story and character arcs that take place over the course of several episodes while keeping the audience engaged.Either Final Draft or CeltX are the most highly recommended materials for this course.About the teacher: Staten Island, NY native Andre´ Joseph graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emerson College in 2006 where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Film. In 2008, Andre´ formed his own New York-based independent film production company, AJ Epyx Productions, LLC. His feature film, Vendetta Games, won the award for "Best Urban Action Film" at the 2017 Urban Action Showcase sponsored by Cinemax as well as additional accolades at the Atlantic City Cinefest, the American Filmatic Arts Awards, and the World Music & Independent Film Festival. His latest short film, Dismissal Time won "Best Human Rights" award at the 2022 New York True Venture Film Festival. Additionally, Andre´ has freelanced as a videographer, editor and production assistant for companies such as MTV Networks, TVOne, Vintage NYC Magazine and NBC Entertainment.
