National Instruments (NI), is pleased to announce the availability of FlexLogger Plugin Development Kit 1.2. This add-on extends FlexLogger software to acquire data from and control third-party hardware devices.

The FlexLogger Plugin Development Kit     is a software add-on that creates LabVIEW plug-ins to communicate with third-party instrumentation. FlexLogger software automatically generates the user interface required to configure the plug-in measurements. LabVIEW and the LabVIEW Application Builder Module is required to compile your plug-in for use with FlexLogger software.

You can use the FlexLogger Plugin Development Kit to build plugins in LabVIEW that communicate with third party instrumentation and custom sensors via interfaces such as GPIB, Serial, Ethernet, or USB interfaces. These plugins integrate seamlessly into the FlexLogger environment, allowing you to use the same workflow to acquire, control, visualize, and log data from third party I/O alongside your sensor measurements.

The PDK includes a LabVIEW project template and wizard that provides the architecture for new plugins. It creates a new LabVIEW project with necessary source files, dependencies, new LabVIEW class, corresponding XML file, and Packed Library build specification to get started quickly. The PDK also installs a FlexLogger palette in LabVIEW and Plugin Environment Simulator to simplify development and debugging.

NI introduces new FlexLogger features: conditional events to automate outputs, built-in calculations like RMS and filtering, and a Plugin Development Kit to integrate third party instrumentation using USB, Ethernet, GPIB, and serial Interfaces.

- (Optional) FlexLogger 2020 R2 or higher

FlexLogger Plugin Development Kit 1.2 has the following minimum system requirements:
