The MicroStation PowerDraft product team is pleased to announce the availability of MicroStation PowerDraft CONNECT Edition Update 13 (version 10.13.00.48). This version continues to focus on frequently requested features and continues to deliver improvements with stability and performance.

Help Tab
The previously known CONNECT Services tab is now renamed as the Help tab which hosts the following:
- Help Contents
- CONNECT Advisor
- Feedback service
- Examples
- Social Media links

V8i Task Theme
If you are new to the ribbon, you can now use the V8i Task Theme in MicroStation PowerDraft to quickly access tools from the familiar V8i Task interface. You can turn the V8i Task Theme on from the Select Task Picker in the Quick Access toolbar, while in the Task Navigation workflow.

Removal of Welcome Screen
The Welcome Screen is now removed. Once you launch MicroStation PowerDraft CONNECT Edition Update 13, you will see the Start Screen. The delivered examples section along with the social media links in the welcome screen have been moved to the new Help tab in the ribbon. The news and announcements along with Learn courses can now be accessed from the CONNECT Advisor in the Help tab.

Features Moved from Technology Preview to Commercial Release

The following feature that was in Technology Preview mode in previous updates, has been commercially released in this update:
- Configuration Assistant - The Configuration Assistant is an upgraded version of the Configuration Migration Wizard that will help you in migrating the legacy V8i Workspaces to CONNECT Edition Configurations.
   

MicroStation PowerDraft and MicroStation    are based on the same core. Its functions are a sub-assembly of the MicroStation functions. It is a solution focused on the professional creation of 2D drawings (DGN, DWG). If you do not need advanced visualisation and animation tools, you can work with it by creation of 3D drawings, too. Intuitive user interface used to create, edit and manipulate with a drawing and a model is the same as the interface of MicroStation.

The minimum recommended workstation profile for running MicroStation CONNECT Edition is:

Processor    Intel or AMD processor 1.0 GHz or greater. MicroStation is not supported on a CPU that does not support SSE2.
Memory   4 GB minimum, 16 GB recommended. More memory almost always improves performance, particularly when working with larger models.
Hard Disk    9 GB free disk space (which includes the 5.6 GB install footprint for a complete installation)
Video    See the graphics card manufacturer for latest information on DirectX drivers. 512 MB of video RAM or higher is recommended. If insufficient video RAM or no graphics card supported by DirectX can be found, MicroStation attempts to use software emulation. For optimal performance, graphics display color depth should be set to 24-bit or higher. When using a color depth setting of 16-bit, some inconsistencies will be noted.
