Argos is a German band composed of two musicians of Superdrama, Thomas Klarmann and Robert Gozon, with drummer Ulf Jacobs. "Circles" features the band in full evolution. As the first self-titled album could sound like a (well-made) stylistic composition, a variation on the theme of the various ways of making symphonic Progressive rock, this second opus tends to prove that Argos has also its own personality. The influences are still here, yet perfectly assimilated. Mostly joyous in the past, the tone doesn't dare to go in intimate places here and there, sometimes even getting close to the introspective atmospheres of Versus X. Here's an excellent opus, the bright evidence of Argos' huge talents.
