City of Lights is the award-winning STV program from 1990 featuring the band at the Barrowlands in Glasgow.
The documentary was hugely instrumental in bringing Runrig to a wider audience in Scotland. When first aired, at peak time on Scottish Television, it attracted an unprecedented viewing audience of one million people.
The film was seen at the time as groundbreaking for Gaelic language broadcasting, and went on to win the Best Documentary category at the Celtic Television Awards later that year.
Directed by Graham Strong and filmed on location in North Uist and Glasgow, with performance footage from the Barrowlands Ballroom.
