Does the thought of having to use After Effects to create animated graphics for your video seem a little intimidating?
Well, STRESS NO MORE, I have a solution that doesn't require After Effects...it's called Keynote.
Yes, I'm talking about THAT Keynote. The one that's traditionally used to create slide presentations on a MacBook or iMac computer except that now we'll be using it to create animations.
This class has been created for complete BEGINNERS to Keynote to teach you some basic skills for creating ANIMATED VIDEO OVERLAYS.
We are going to use a LOWER THIRD graphic as our design example but you could easily use a lot of the same techniques to create other animated graphics like pop-up sticker graphics, captions or sidebars.
Skills that I will be covering include:
Adding and editing both shapes and text
Adding photos and using shape masks on those photos
Adding Build in, Build Out, and Action animations
Adjusting animation settings like duration and time delays so you can layer multiple animations and create a complex sequence
Exporting keynote files so they can be used in video editing programs
