Welcome to Module 16. This course is part of a complete 20-module Real Digital Marketing training programme. Each module can be taken individually or as part of the full series.
In this module, we focus on influencers, affiliates, and sponsorship, and how these three approaches can be used to expand your reach, build credibility, and generate revenue. These methods allow businesses to collaborate with others to promote their products or services in ways that feel more authentic and engaging to their target audience.
We begin by exploring the role of influencers and the different types available, including the distinction between micro and macro influencers. Not all influencers are the right fit for every business, and understanding the difference between reach, relevance, and engagement is key to making the right choice. We also discuss the difference between influencers and well-known public figures, and how influence is not always determined by popularity alone.
A key part of this module is ensuring that you approach influencer marketing professionally and securely. We provide guidance on contracts and agreements, including what should be included, what to look out for, and how to protect your business. As part of this, you will be given practical examples such as influencer contracts, service level agreements, and non-disclosure agreements to help you operate with confidence.
We then move on to affiliate marketing, exploring both sides of the model. You will learn how businesses can use affiliates to generate leads and sales, as well as how individuals or organisations can become affiliates themselves. This provides a flexible approach to performance-based marketing, where results are directly linked to outcomes.
Sponsorship is also covered in this module, including why businesses choose to invest in sponsorship and the opportunities it can provide. From increasing visibility to gaining access to new audiences, sponsorship can play a valuable role in a wider marketing strategy.
Finally, we bring these elements together by focusing on what matters most: generating income and revenue. You will learn how influencers, affiliates, and sponsorships can be structured to support commercial goals, and how each approach can contribute to overall business growth.
