PhotoToMesh is a standalone Windows application which creates 3D meshes from photographs and other images. The meshes can be saved as DXF files or StereoLithographic files (STL and STLB) which you can use in your 3d printing machines or CAD programs. You can rotate the 3D object by dragging the mouse over the screen to see exactly how your object will turn out.

Create 3D meshes from pictures
The first thing that you need to do after launching the application is to drag an image file over the application or browse your computer to open a picture. You                                                                                                                                                                                                                             will be presented with a series of dialogs where you can change contrast, brightness, angle and finally crop of the image.

You can also rotate or crop pictures to various sizes. At the end you click on next and the image is placed inside PhotoToMesh, and the stereolithographic file can be viewed.

Something to remember as you play around with the sliders and numbers: generally you need to click on the "Recreate Model" button in the middle right of the dialog to get the solid updated with the new parameters.

Also remember that by dragging the mouse in the right-hand image you can view the model at different angles. All in all, PhotoToMesh is a very nice application that you could use for creating 3D meshes from various pictures and photographs found on your computer.
