Bentley Systems, Incorporated, is pleased to announce the availability of Descartes CONNECT Edition Update 4 (version 10.04.00.25). Based on MicroStation, itprovides a uniquely powerful toolset for processing and integrating point clouds and scalable terrain models, as fundamental data types, persistently throughout architectural, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO) workflows.

What's new in Descartes CONNECT Edition Update 4

- Better display of 3D reality meshes with the new "forward" and "backward" Clip Volume settings in the Section tools
- Ability to display point clouds in cross-section views using only a Cut Plane with new Tolerance setting
- Instantly drape design elements on Scalable Meshes when draping in the "Z" direction
- Automatically attach the Web-ready Scalable Mesh after it has been uploaded to ProjectWise ContextShare
- With the improved usability of the conversion tools, you can automatically attach a Scalable Meshes once it's been converted from a 3MX format
- Access your reality meshes from anywhere using ProjectWise ContextShare to perform volume calculations, ground and quick ground extractions, snap and drape elements, and tile terrains

Processor    Intel or AMD processor 1.0 GHz or greater.                                                                                                                                                                                                       OpenRoads Designer is not supported on a CPU that does not support SSE2.
Memory   8 GB minimum 16 GB recommended. More memory almost always improves performance, particularly when working with larger models.
Hard Disk    9 GB free disk space (which includes the 5.6 GB install footprint for a complete installation)
Video    See the graphics card manufacturer for latest information on DirectX drivers. 1024 MB of video RAM or higher is recommended. If insufficient video RAM or no graphics card supported by DirectX can be found, OpenRoads Designer attempts to use software emulation. For optimal performance, graphics display color depth should be set to 24-bit or higher. When using a color depth setting of 16-bit, some inconsistencies will be noted.

MSAccess 64-bit engine   To connect to an Access database, you must download and install the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable. Use the following link to download and install the MS Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable. This is required for access to gINT projects and for the ability to Import InRoads drainage files
